Serving others, in our own backyard and around the world, has been at the heart of West Side's ministry since the church was founded in 1912.

Habitat for Humanity

Eva's Village
The mission of Eva's Village is to provide those in need with hope, support and resources to live stable, healthy and productive lives.
Eva’s Village is dedicated to ensuring that community members experiencing poverty, food and housing insecurity, underlying issues with substance use, mental or physical health disorders and lack of job readiness have the tools they need to overcome barriers to healthy, stable lives.
Eva’s Community Kitchen prepares and serves hundreds of thousands of free healthy meals to community members experiencing or at risk of homelessness and poverty each year. But, Eva’s Kitchen is more than a place for a free meal; it is often a point of entry to our comprehensive antipoverty programs and many neighbors choose to take the next step toward recovery, stability and wellbeing.

Rise Against Hunger
West Side Presbyterian, DePhillips Hall
Upcoming dates: Saturday, January 31st 3-5pm
Join us as we make a difference together! We are partnering with Rise Against Hunger to pack 20,000 meals for families facing hunger around the world. This hands-on service project is a wonderful way to make a global impact while serving side by side with friends and family.
Bring your friends and family and help us turn compassion into action. Together, we can help feed the hungry and bring hope to communities in need.

Weekly Food Drive
Please fill an extra grocery bag or two in support of our food drive for neighbors in need.
Your gift will help fill a bag with hope, warmth, and a meal for a family in need.
Donations may be dropped off at West Side Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, or Sunday, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
The most-needed items include:
- canned fruit and vegetables
- macaroni and cheese
- peanut butter and jelly
- pasta and pasta sauce
- canned meat and fish
- canned stew and hearty soup
- cold cereal (low sugar)
- oatmeal
- pancake mix
- powdered/boxed milk
- 100% juice
- bar or bottled soap
- toothpaste
- toothbrushes
- baby cereal
- baby formula
- diapers (size 4, 5 and 6)
- toilet paper and paper towels.
New Hope Community Ministry
Saturday, October 17, 2026
Join us as we help with the ESL Program at New Hope Community Ministries. We'll meet Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 9:30-12:30 at Unity Reformed Church, 339 North 11th Street, Prospect Park, NJ.
Volunteers will:
Prepare bagels and coffee, fruit for students
Care for children ages 1-10 in a fully equipped nursery
Have 1:1 conversation with students learning English
