“To everything, turn, turn, turn.”
Ecclesiastes reminds us that every season has its purpose—and so do we.
Join us for The Spiral & The Compass, a three-day journey through both the outer seasons of the year and the inner seasons of the soul. Together, we’ll explore spring’s energy, summer’s passion, autumn’s letting go, and winter’s stillness—discovering how these sacred rhythms shape our lives as men.
Expect council (contemplative small groups), encounters with creation, drumming, ritual, and the unexpected. This is not a linear path, but a widening spiral—an invitation to listen to the earth, honor the changing seasons of your own heart, and find your way by a deeper compass.

What if the parts of yourself you've spent a lifetime hiding are actually the doorway to freedom?
Join us for a five-day immersion into the masculine spiritual journey, led by Jim Taylor and Marc Oehler. Through wisdom teachings, men's council, ritual, silence, wilderness experience, storytelling, and sacred companionship, we will explore what it means to become more fully ourselves before God.
This retreat is an invitation to slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect with the deeper currents of your life and faith. Whether you are in a season of transition, grief, discernment, renewal, or simply longing for a deeper connection with God, you are welcome here.
Held at Johnsonburg Camp and Retreat Center from April 28–May 2, 2027, The Wild God includes a sweat lodge experience, a 24-hour solo wilderness fast, daily council circles, contemplative practices, and time around the fire with other men seeking authentic spiritual growth.
Come discover what God may be longing to awaken in you.
Step into sacred space. Enter the wild. Return whole.

$40 (morning coffee & lunch included)
The Bible is filled with images of God we rarely slow down long enough to notice. Some are strange. Some are tender. Some are surprising.
Together, we will explore a lesser-known image of God through gentle movement, contemplative prayer, reflection, and conversation.
This retreat is designed to be playful, spacious, and unhurried.
No prior movement experience is needed.
Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to show up.
