Service Opportunity - Community Thrift Shop
Serve
The Community Thrift Shop in Midland Park has been in operation since 1949 selling and repurposing donated clothes, books and household items. West Side was a founding member and remains a participating charity. The participating charities help staff the shop and receive the profit from the sale of items donated on behalf of each charity.
Once a year, West Side needs to provide 3-6 people to help in the back room tagging clothing donations and hanging them up. The work is easy and the company is good. There are 2 2-hour shifts, 10-12 and 1-3. This year the dates are Tuesday, October 27, and if needed, Thursday, October 29. If the donations all get tagged and hung on Tuesday, the Thursday shifts are not necessary.
Please contact Beth Forbes or Pastor Liz if you have questions and to sign up to represent West Side in this project.
