Sunday School and Child Care
We're excited to welcome your children on Sunday morning!
Orange, our vibrant Sunday School strategy for preschool through 8th grade, combines the light of the church (yellow) with the heart of the family (red) to form a lifelong faith in Christ (orange). Each month has a theme—kindness, love—that is carried through with easy lessons to do at home. There’s even an app (Parent Cue) that you can use on the go! The result? Home + Church = Greater Impact.

Sunday School meets in DePhilips Hall every Sunday during 9:00 am and 10:30 am services (on the lower level).
Infants and Toddlers
During worship, a caring and fun learning environment for infants and toddlers is provided in the nursery. Children also are welcome in the sanctuary during the service.
Baptism
Baptism is a beautiful celebration of God’s grace and love. At West Side, we believe baptism is a sign and seal of God’s promises, marking the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith. Whether for an infant, child, youth, or adult, baptism reminds us that God claims us as beloved, calls us by name, and welcomes us into the family of faith.
Our pastors work with each family or individual to prepare for baptism and make it a meaningful experience. Baptisms are celebrated during Sunday worship so that the whole congregation can participate, promising to support and nurture those who are baptized as they grow in faith.

Nursery and Pre-K
Rooms 211 and 215. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to check-in.
Intergenerational Sundays
On Intergenerational Sundays, children are in worship with us. The children's choirs sing at the 10:30 am service, where the scripture follows the Sunday School lesson plan, and the sermon is family-friendly! The right-side transept also is transformed into a "Creative Worship Center" with colorful rugs for kids to sit on, coloring pages, and bingo games.
Please note: the Nursery in Room 211 remains open for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers on Intergenerational Sundays.

Kids Club & Music
Crafts, games, Bible stories, music - it all adds up to faith-based fun for K-8 kids every Thursday 4:00 - 6:00pm, September through May. Pizza is served every week at 5:45pm!
Summer Choir School
It's our 54th year of offering children this fun and meaningful summer experience, combining joyful music with faith formation, community, and a choice of activities like sports and games, arts and crafts, dance, handbells, and Orff instruments.

West Side Nursery School
For more than 50 years, West Side Nursery School has provided families in Ridgewood and surrounding communities with a warm and caring, play-based environment for children aged 2.5-6. West Side Nursery School kids learn and grow while fostering self-esteem, respect for others, strong interpersonal skills and a life-long love of learning.
