Join us for a special spirit-lifting evening with Rev. Mack Brandonpastor of the Metropolitan AME Zion Church in Ridgewood, and the Connections Gospel Choir!

Rev. Brandon has been a professor of music at Ramapo College of New Jersey for the past 28 years. Starting as the 14-year-old director of his home church's youth choir in New Jersey, he went on to become pianist or musical director for such artists as Ben E. King, The Drifters, Luther Vandross, Etta James, Average White Band and The Supremes. As a solo artist, he toured worldwide, including appearances as the opening act to the late comedienne Joan Rivers and to country artist Clint Black.

He is also the founder of Musical Words, an arts-in-education program based in New Jersey. For more than 25 years Rev. Brandon has served as founder-director of the 90-voice Conference Choir with whom he has concertized nationally. And for the past 20 years he has lectured and conducted workshops worldwide on the topic of the tradition, culture and worship of sacred black music in America, including gospel music.
