This coming Sunday, September 12th, is the 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time and Welcome Home Sunday. Rev. Dr. Gareth Icenogle will be preaching as we return to full schedule: Worship at 8:45 and 11:15 a.m., Church School for Elementary Children at 8:45 a.m. and Church School for All Ages at 10:00 a.m. Following the second service, there will be an All Church Picnic on the Barn Lawn. See bulletin on Newsroom page for details! All invited!
Visitors and prospective members are invited to join the congregation in worship as well as the many events taking place. Visitors are invited to stop at our Welcome Desk before and after the service. The docent on duty can help you find your way around, as well as answer any questions you may have about our congregation.

Hunger Never Takes a Vacation
Vacation time is a great time of year—unless, of course, you have depended all year on your local school lunch program to provide nutritious meals for your family. Another way will now be needed to feed the children. Many will flock to local food pantries for help. The problem is that so many of the organizations who supply these resources during the year (like the Scouts and other civic groups) are also “off for the summer.” We’re asking that West Siders not take a vacation from helping our hungry neighbors! All non-perishable items are needed: cereal, peanut butter, jelly, canned fruit, canned soup, tuna fish, etc. Beverages like juice, coffee, and teas are especially needed. Please bring bags to the carts by the reception desk at any time. And consider buying a grocery story card from our Youth Group; a portion will help support West Side’s youth programs. These cards can then be donated to our food pantries. For information, contact Mary Stuart Gephart, mgephart@optonline.net.
