National History Bowl and Bee Tournament

Special event at Ridgewood High School on Saturday, February 4. Morning in classrooms; noon and after in Commons until winners are announced and prizes awarded to the teams. West Side's own David Madden is founder and president, and the event is partially funded by The History Channel.

Gallery News:

We have a very special show in the Gallery for January. James Daugherty, the artist, completed sixty Biblical paintings; of the sixty, twenty have been chosen for the exhibit at West Side courtesy of the current owners of Daugherty's work, First Presbyterian Church at Caldwell, NJ. Daugherty himself passed away in 1974, after a life as a successful artist, and a prolific writer and illustrator of children's books, of which "Andy and the Lion" is still a favorite. Daugherty's Biblical paintings have been collected into a wonderful book, In His Image, which will be available for order in the Gallery. Special thanks go to Don Hults of Caldwell's First Presbyterian Church for offering this show of Daugherty's works. Be sure to visit the Gallery throughout January, and prepare to be impressed and inspired by the bold drama of the artist's works.
