Worship together at the 10:00 a.m. service (seating in the left transept). After the sermon and Affirmation of Faith, exit quietly during the hymn and meet in Room 308 for bagels, discussion, and mission work planning.
College-Bound Youth
Make sure the church has your new address so that we can keep in touch. (Hint: we send goodies sometimes!) Good luck with your new school. We'll be praying that you have a successful and fun fall semester. Be sure to come back here on your breaks!

Youth Barn
The Youth Barn is a converted stable building on West Side's property that is used almost exclusively for classes and activities for teens and children. Church school classes meet there on Sundays, and much of the High Point program is held there. The two-story Barn is equipped with a kitchen, dining space, a meeting area, media center, computers, Fooseball and pool tables, pinball games, basketball court, and barbecue area.

All Youth Picnic: A once-a-year event that brings together all of West Side's Youth and their friends for food, fellowship and to find out more about the upcoming programs and activities. There are opportunities to sign up for particular activities and a slide show of last year's events.
HighPoint
HighPoint
HighPoint is West Side’s Tuesday program for middle and high school youth to be together and to serve God, church, and humanity. This is the spiritual “high point” of the week for many of our adolescents.

F.O.C.U.S. (Finding Ourselves in Christ through Unity and Service)

F.O.C.U.S. is West Side's confirmation program for 8th graders, in which members learn what it means for Jesus Christ to be Lord and Savior and to actively live out their faith. See the FOCUS page for details.

West Side's youth program includes a number of weekend and week-long activities that range from the Unknown Destination Trip to the Asheville Mission Trip. It is at these overnight activities when kids become close friends with the other kids.
Every summer West Side runs a middle school camp program at Henlopen State Park in Delaware. This popular program draws 60 plus middle schoolers, plus high schoolers as counselors and adults to cook, lead, drive, and supervise. Last year, more than 105 West Siders attended Henlopen in early July.

The youth of our church have an opportunity every other year to help the people of Reynosa, Mexico.
February, 2012
Every other year a group of high schoolers from our church travel to Reynosa, Mexico. This trip is open to 20 high school kids (with first preference given to juniors and seniors, then sophomores).
More than 6,000 Presbyterian youth (grades 9-12) play wild games, sing, worship, share, care, come to love each other, grow closer to God, and understand the will of God in the real world. All of this happens at Purdue University.
A special trip for our middle school youth. A mystery trip, going somewhere to do something only Kent knows for sure. (Parents will find out the details before we leave.)
This retreat to Knoebels Theme Park is a mixture of fun and games and serious study. The focus will be on relationships, human development, decision making, and Presbyterian beliefs on this subject.
The church keeps in touch with all its young adults beyond high school age, whether they're in college, the military, or living at home. Please send your email/address to carol@westside.org
