How to Join West Side

Membership at West Side means joining a community of believers, a group of people who together are striving to serve God, love others, understand the Bible, and have a meaningful spiritual relationship with one another and with the world. Any interested individuals are invited to join us at any time.

New member classes are held four times a year, usually on one Saturday, 8:45 a.m.-1 p.m. The next class is scheduled for the fall; check back here for dates. Attendance at one class is all that is required prior to becoming a member.

Topics covered in the classes include what it means to be a Presbyterian; how the church is organized and administered; what the requirements of membership are; and an overview of West Side's many areas of concern, such as Mission, Worship & Music, Spiritual Growth, etc.

Following completion of the classes, new members are formally welcomed in worship the following Sunday. After joining, each new member is assigned a mentor-a member who will answer questions, attend services and events together (if desired), help the new member find his or her way around, and generally serve as a guide to West Side.

Please consider joining us. For information, call Carol Walter in the church office, ext. 11, carol@westside.org.
