How To Join Us

Visitors

Stop at our Welcome Desk in the narthex before or after services on Sunday. You will be greeted and given a name tag. Please don't hesitate to ask questions about West Side and the congregation.

Membership at West Side means joining a community of believers, a group of people who together are striving to serve God, love others, understand the Bible, and have a meaningful spiritual relationship with one another and with the world. Any interested individuals are invited to join us at any time.

New member classes are held monthly during the program year and are led by Dr. Icenogle. The next new member classes will be held in the fall; check back here for dates.  Topics covered in the classes include what it means to be a Presbyterian; how the church is organized and administered; what the requirements of membership are; and an overview of West Side's many areas of concern, such as Mission, Worship & Music, Spiritual Growth, etc. Attendance at one class is all that is required prior to joining the congregation, but participation is not a commitment to join the church.

Following completion of the classes, new members are formally welcomed in worship the following Sunday. After joining, each new member is assigned a mentor--a member who will answer questions, attend services and events together (if desired), help the new member find his or her way around, and generally serve as a guide to West Side.

Please consider joining us. To learn more about West Side, please call Carol Walton in the church office at extension 11, carol@westside.org, or fill out the form below and we will contact you.
