How To Join Us

Visitors

Visitors are always welcome at West Side, and we want to make sure we will be able to contact you later in the week!  During worship, be sure to record your name and contact information on the Friendship Pad as it is passed down the pew.  You will be able to indicate on the pad if you would like to be contacted by a pastor.

On Sunday mornings, West Side's ushers and greeters all wear name tags, so please don't hesitate to ask one of them or a pastor any questions you might have about West Side.

Membership

Membership at West Side means joining a community of believers, a group of people who together are striving to serve God, love others, understand the Bible, and have a meaningful spiritual relationship with God, with one another, and with the world.

New Member Classes

New member classes are held on a regularly during the year, as there is interest; they are led by Dr. Icenogle. Topics covered in the class include what it means to be a Presbyterian; how the church is organized and administered; what the requirements of membership are; and an overview of West Side's many areas of concern, such as Mission, Worship and Music, Christian Formation and Children's Ministries. Attendance at one class is all that is required prior to joining the congregation, but participation is not a commitment to join the church.   Childcare during a class is available upon request.

Following completion of the class, and reception by the Session (West Side's Church Council), new members are formally welcomed in worship on a Sunday convenient for the family.

Please consider joining us! To learn more about West Side and/or sign up for a New Member Class, please contact Carol Walton in the church office at 201-652-1966, extension 11, or carol@westside.org, or fill out the form below and we will contact you.
